This species shows an ideal chemical formula Ni3As, with a = 9.6206(9) Å, space group I 3d. It is isotypic with domeykite, Cu3As, and the neotype sample is deposited in the collections of the Museo di Storia Naturale, Università di Firenze, Italy, under the catalogue number 3364/I.
