Lots of kilos had to be cut before finding medium  quality!!

Hi Claudia and Ricardo,

these agates are beautiful, congratulation. We where happy to use some of this pictures for the Lexikon.

But for that, we need the exact location. " Patagonia " or " Rio Uruguay " is not detailed enough. Thats very big regions. You know, this Lexikon shouldn´t be a pictuere book, but as scientifical as possible. And it´s a lot of work to assort the localitys to the pictures later on.

This Jasper was found in "Entre Rios" Province , the Mesopotamian Region in the Argentinian Border of "Uruguay" River.

"Rio Uruguay" , "Entre Rios" Province
Locally called "Green Agates" because of the color of the skin.
These are always small sized agates ; not easy to find.

1: 4x4 cm 49 grams

2: 6 x 5 cm  70 grams

3: 6 x 5 cm 113 grams

4: 4 x 4 cm   35 grams

Wow they are really breathtaking!  Thanks for showing them to us! It's very impressive how many top agates you own. For how long do you collect agates now? I'm just 15 at the moment but argentinia is a beautiful country with beautiful minerals and probably I will visit it when I'm older!
