Kristalizing processes and synthetic minerals

Hello, I'm a student from Holland and because my Deutsch isn't very well, I'll do this in English.
For school I have to do a large practical assignment for Science. My subject basically concerns the proces of kristalisation and how to make synthetic kristals/minerals.
I would like to have some more information about those subjects. Maybe somebody knows some website-links or the title/page of some articles in magazines, like Lepis, or any books. I prefer the last.

I would like to know all sorts of techniques and especially the wones, I could do myself ( easy and maybe some difficult techniques).
I am able to get all sorts of chemicals and maybe I can do my work on a University (working with high temperatures).  So every kind of information is welcome!
