Die Bilder von Matteo Chinellato, Stephan Wolfsried und Christian Rewitzer sind absolut genial. Ein absolutes Lieblingsbild gibt es bei mir nicht.

Aber nicht nur die beiden oben genannten, allzeit präsenten Fotografen habens drauf!

Dieses Bild von Marko hat trotz minimaler Unschärfe einen Wahnsinnsfarbkontrast (Schade das sein grandioser Caledonit von den Blue Bell Claims, Californien hier nicht vertreten ist):

Mein persönlicher Favorit ist der von der Beleuchtung perfekter in Scene gesetzte Smaragd aus dem Habachtal (Das ist mein Ansporn auch nach stundenlangem erfolglosem suchen einfach weiterzusuchen) Danke Harjo das wir uns daran erfreuen können

Schwieriger Wahl.... schon seit vielen Jahren begeistern mich besonders die Bilder von Jean-Marc Joannet, Christian Rehwitzer, Fred Kruijen, Stephan Wolfsried, Dominik Schläfli und Volker Betz. Auch die neue Bilder von Gerhard Niceus finde ich sehr, sehr schön.
Es freut mich sehr zu sehen das die Qualität der Bilder von einige Mineralienatlas Mitglieder sich in die letzte paar Jahre unglaublich gesteigert hat. Da komme Ich jetzt hinter dran ;-) Hut ab!
Na dann, wenn Ich ein Bild wählen soll, dann wird es wohl immer der Annabergit von Jean-Marc sein.

Für mich gibt es da auch keinen eindeutigen Bild-Favoriten , aber doch inzwischen so einige ganz hervorragende  Fotografen und ich möchte zu Deiner Liste , neben Dich auch unbedingt noch Michael Pfeil hinzufügen, der innerhalb kürzester Zeit enorme Fortschritte gemacht hat und dessen Mineralienbilder inzwischen für mich Referenz sind:

Hallo,

ich persönlich kann mich bei den Mikro-Aufnahmen nicht wirklich festlegen. Da gibt es einfach zu viele perfekte.

Immer wieder fasziniert mich ein Makrofoto eines Galenits mit einem komplexen Kristallwachstum. Vor allem die perfekte Ausleuchtung des Stückes ist beeindruckend, bei der alle Kristallflächen gut sichtbar sind und wenige aber passende Reflexion gesetzt wurden. Persönlich verzweifle ich immerwieder an solch ähnlichen Exemplaren :P.
Auch scheint es so, als ob das Stück auf der Unterlage schwebt.

Ich finde auch folgendes Bild von Daniel Goldschmidt sehr ansprechend, vor allem, weil
der Hämatit trotz seines Hochglanzes gut in Szene gesetzt ist.

ja, die Bilder von Stephan Wolfsried sind wirklich aller erste Klasse. Schade, dass es schon seit sehr langer Zeit keine neuen Bilder mehr auf mindat zu sehen gibt.

Es gibt auch von unseren Leuten hier im Atlas erstklassige Bilder, die sich in keiner Weise verstecken müssen. Beispielsweise die Bilder von loparit (die letzten Bilder des Tages (http://www.mindat.org/photo-519002.html) bei mindat  (http://www.mindat.org/photo-519921.html) waren echt phantastisch) und geni sind kleine Meisterwerke!

Deswegen sprach ich ja auch von "wenigen" Konkurrenten, nicht von keinen :P Aber stimmt, einige unserer Jungs sind auch wahre Meister im Makrobereich, da gehört Edgar (Loparit) auf jeden Fall dazu (allein das Pyromorphitbild da oben!!!) Und vom Makrobereich mal abgesehen muss man in diesem Thread auch immer wieder Jürgen M. nennen, der seine Stufen virtuos und einfach abzulichten versteht. Meine Favoriten aus seiner Galerie sind alle schon auf den vorigen Seiten zu sehen, daher nehme ich als nächstes Beispiel für eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsbilder diesen Rhodochrosit von Norbert B., einem weiteren der wenigen oben genannten Konkurrenten:

Das ist momentan mein Lieblingsbild:

Es ist zwar von mir und auch noch sehr alt, auch noch mit der Nikon coolpix 995 aufgenommen, aber es zeigt das Innenleben eines wasserklaren Quarzes von Hohenlimburg, in dem sich als Inklusen limonitisierte Calcitdoppelender befinden.

So etwas sieht man nicht alle Tage! ;D

Das ist aus Christians Sammlung gewesen. Aber das war auch der Grund des Kaufes damals :D

Hallo Oliver,

So ungewöhnlich sind die Ausbildungen der Antimonite nicht. Es ist die Art der Abbildung, die sie ungewohnt und fremd erscheinen lässt.
Die stark verfremdende Bildtechnik von Oleg läßt nur wenige bis keine metallischen Reflexe zu. Das macht das Fotografieren einfacher, aber die Minerale sind nur für Kenner zu identifizieren. Im Prinzip hält er die Stufen vom Licht fern - man könnte fast sagen unterm Tisch - und vertraut auf die Leistungen einer lichtstarken Kamera und der digitalen Nachbearbeitung. Durch die weit geöffnete Blende die er verwenden muss, sind die Aufnahmen auch nur teilweise scharf, oft fällt ein Großteil der Aufnahme in die Unschärfe.

Dies alles ist gewollt und geplant, seine Stilsicherheit und die konsequente Demütigung des Funkelns schaffen seiner Kunst Freunde.
Künstlerisch sind die Aufnahmen reizvoll - entsprechen aber aufgrund der Verfremdung nicht der wahren Natur der Steine.

Damit der Beitrag in den Thread passt, habe ich ein Dunkelbild von mir drangehängt. Ich gebe zu , daß ich an "Low-key-Aufnahmen" auch meinen Spaß habe ! Allerdings darf der Reflex bei mir immer noch mitspielen.

dass bei Olegs Bildern ein gewisser „Verfremdungseffekt“ mitspielt, ist mir schon klar. Wo ich dir allerdings nicht zustimme, ist, dass

Natürlich auf ein Minimum reduziert, aber ich bin eben kein Freund von allzu viel „Geglitzer“ - mir ist es lieber, wenn ich dafür die Struktur der Kristallflächen deutlich erkennen kann.
(Der Effekt geht m.E. ein wenig in die Richtung, wie wenn für paläontologische Publikationen die Fossilien zum Fotografieren mit Ammoniumchlorid bedampft werden, damit die Oberflächenstruktur voll zur Geltung kommt, und nicht durch eventuelle Farbunterschiede oder eben Reflektionen etc. beeinträchtigt wird.)

Gerade das finde ich bei vielen Fotos gut (falls nicht gerade übertrieben viel von der Stufe „im Nebel versinkt“) – es verleiht den Stufen eine „natürliche“ Körperlichkeit bzw. Dreidimensionalität (die ich bei manchen Micro-Stackingaufnahmen schmerzlich vermisse).

"Keine Reflexe" ist vielleicht etwas überzogen, aber gerade auf den letzten von dir gezeigten Bildern fehlt ein Weisspunkt komplett. Die natürliche Strahlkraft und die Tönung des Lichtes fehlt. Ein gutes schlechtes Beispiel ist dieses Bild von Oleg, bei dem der strahlend schneeweiße Natrolith, der die Matrix der Neptunite bilden sollte, in der Abbildung nur noch wie grauer Schneematsch erscheint.

Im Endeffekt ist das alles Geschmackssache. Die Diskussion erinnert mich ein bisschen an einen Achatsammler von altem Schlag, der bei den gut ausgeleuchteten Aufnahmen von seinen Achaten ihren Ursprung in seiner eigene Sammlung anzweifelte, ja sie teilweise nicht erkannte, da er sie bisher meist bei schummeriger Kellerbeleuchtung betrachtet hatte.
Zudem geht Kunst immer mit einem verfremdenden Moment daher. Eine Differenzqualität zur Realität muss beim Artefakt entstehen, damit es vom Betrachter als Kunst wahrgenommen wird. Diesen Anspruch erfüllen die Bilder von Oleg in meinen Augen. Also - weiter so !

Dieses Argument habe ich erwartet – aber: z.B. beim letzten Galenit-Bild sind es die Kanten der Kristalle (die vielleicht nicht völlig weiß, aber eben doch sehr hell sind – ganz dünne Linien …)!   ;)

Ich hab ja auch nie behauptet, dass ich alle Fotos von Oleg gut finde – sondern eben einige von denen hier gezeigt, die ich sehr wohl gut finde ….. wie z.B diese Spessartine (obwohl da natürlich das Argument der mangelnden Farbechtheit nicht von der Hand zu weisen ist – aber dafür eben extrem plastisch, und die Farbe ist ja nicht ganz weg, sondern zumindest partiell - sozusagen als "Zusatzinformation" - vorhanden):

Sollte dir die dramatische Überschärfung so mancher Bilder zu viel werden, so schau dir diese Abbildung von Amianth vom Monte Cervandone an.

Es findet sich nur noch ein Quantum an Schärfe in der Bildmitte.

Meiner Meinung nach ist einer der besten Mineralien-Photographen, der Mikrobilder hier im Mineralienatlas einstellt, Matthias Reinhardt. Seine Bilder sind brillant und farbintensiv und wirken dennoch nicht übertrieben. Zudem wirkt sein (annäherndes) 2:1 Format sehr gut auf aktuellen Bildschirmen.

Ein Hallo an alle Kunstinteressierten,

Mir wurde heute ein Bild auf der Startseite des Mineralienatlas zum Bewerten vorgeschlagen, das ich bei genauerem Hinsehen als bemerkenswert einstufen muss. Nicht dass dieses Bild die aktuellen Finessen der photographischen Technik nutzen würde, ganz im Gegenteil. Durch seinen generellen Verzicht auf Schärfe und die Reduktion auf einige wenige Formen wirkt das Bild artifiziell, es verschleiert mehr als es darstellt und gibt dem Betrachter Raum für die eigene Imagination.

Seine Gestaltung und Ausführung zwingt nicht dazu, es als Aufnahme eines Minerales zu verstehen, eine weitergehende Interpretation des Bildinhaltes wird erlaubt. Geht es hier um die Heimstatt des Leviathan, der in der Tiefe der See seine Türe einen kleinen Spalt öffnet ? Oder ist es die sich schließende Himmelspforte, die am Ende aller Wege das himmlische Jerusalem verbirgt ?

Die Fortune des Fotografen gilt es zu belohnen - dieses Bild bekommt von mir eine glatte 10.
