Hallo,
als interessierter Sammler stoße ich im MA und dem restlichen Web immer wieder auf interessante Fundberichte und Bilder von Calciten.
Dieser Thread soll die Möglichkeit bieten Informationen rund um das Mineral Calcit zusammenzutragen. Beiträge, egal welcher Art, zu historischen Stücken, Neu- oder Eigenfunden, welt- oder nahezu unbekannten Fundstellen, Kristallformen, Pseudo- und Perimorphosen, Kuriosa, Links zu interessanten Fakten oder einfach nur Fotos dieses Minerals, alles ist willkommen.
Ich stelle mir diesen Thread als dynamische Ergänzung zum Mineralienportrait vor, mal schauen wie er sich entwickelt.

Hallo Milo,
ich meine am oberen rechten Bildrand Hohlformen erkennen zu können. Demnach wäre es eine Perimorphose Gaspeit nach Calcit.

Gute Idee, Calcit wird immer wieder verkannt und ist doch so faszinierend!

Hallo,
leider kenne ich den Fundort dieser x nicht, aber Calcit als Bergperle (Durchmesser der Kugel ca. 2 cm!) finde ich faszinierend.

Gibt es jemand unter den Betrachtern, der weiß, woher diese Calcitkugel(n) kommen könnte ?

Diese Kugel sieht ja genauso aus,wie die von der Mina Herja, Chiuzbaia die aus einem Museum in Rumänien gestohlen wurde.

die sehen wirklich sehr ähnlich aus, nur das die eine 10 cm, die andere 3,5 cm groß ist.

hier Calcit aus dem Gabbrosteinbruch von Bad Harzburg - aus einer Zeit, als es dort noch Sammelgenehmigungen gab.

Hier eine 6 cm breite Stufe mit klaren Calciten auf winzigen roten Quarz xx auf Syenitmatrix, gefunden beim Bau des Coschützer Tunnels in Dresden (Plauenscher Grund).

Calcit muss nicht immer gut kristallisiert sein, um hübsche Stufen zu ergeben. Hier eine grobkristalline Handstufe mit fast achatartiger Bänderung von der Grube Breinigerberg bei Stolberg in der Nordeifel. Nett auch der Text auf dem alten Etikett zu diesem Stück: "Fundort. Auf einer Gangkluft auf Lohkulschacht an der nördlichen Wange der Breinigerbergparthie. Kommt sonst hier nirgends mehr vor."

Calcit mit Bergkristall aus dem Lugnez in der Schweiz.
Maße: 14 cm x 10 cm.

Beim Stochern in einer alten Kluft gelangte man in eine weitere, darunter liegende Kluft,
welche Calcit, Periklin, kleine Bergkristalle, Muskovit, größere Sphene grün (um 3 cm) und
kleine Sphene gelb (MM´s) brachte. (Fund: Hellweger/Plankensteiner/Berger).

Bad Bleiberg ist als Typlokalität von Wulfenit sehr bekannt. Nicht viele Sammler wissen jedoch, dass hier neben Erzmineralien auch hervorragende Calcitstufen geborgen wurden. Hier 3 Beispiele:
