Das Bild zeigt meines Erachtens die Mining Disrtrikte nicht richtig.

Umso mehr ich zu den Distrikten lese würde ich befürworten sie alle aus dem Pfad rauszuwerfen und wenn hilfreich durch den Pfadteil durch den Canyon Namen, Mesa etc. ersetzen in und auf dem sie sich befinden.
Wenn dann mal geklärt ist wo die Distrikte wirklich liegen, dann die Zugehörigkeit über Polygone regeln. Auch bei Mindat und in der Litertur ist das alles andere als eindeutig.

Das ist als Startpunkt gedacht und die Essenz aus ziemlich viel Literaturarbeit.....
Da stimmt sicherlich manches nicht. Aber ohne konkrete Anhaltspunkte und Referenzen kann ich da leider nicht besser antworten.
Was zweifelst Du an? Wo stimmts nicht? Lässt sich das an Details festmachen oder am großen&ganzen?
Nein - Mesa etc hilft nicht, dazu findet sich keine Literatur und auch gelabelte Stufen kommen mit Distrikten und nicht mit Mesas.
Ja-Distrikte als Polygone waren eben auch mein Gedanke.
Ursprünglich (und nur deshalb gibt es überhaupt die Seite) dachte ich eben an zwei parallele Pfade: eine über Distrikte, die "dynamisch" verbessert wird und eine geopolitische(?) oder geographisch (?) basierte oder so. Und die Seite sollte als Grundlage überhaupt einmal Einordnungen liefern.

Uravan (a contraction of uranium/vanadium[2]) is a former uranium mining town[3] in western Montrose County, Colorado, United States, which still appears on some maps. The town was a company town established by U. S. Vanadium Corporation in 1936 to extract the rich vanadium ore in the region. As a byproduct of vanadium extraction, small amounts of uranium were also produced, at the time mostly used as a yellow pigment for ceramics.
