Detailed Description

Ausführliche Beschreibung

Bei dem Saurüssel handelt es sich um einen vom Kleinen Mörchner (3198 m) herabziehenden Felskamm, der eine Reihe interessanter Mineralfunde bietet. Der Saurüssel ist neben dem Mörchnerkar als eine der besten alpinen Fundstellen für Amethyst bekannt, der hier auch immer wieder in Form schöner Szepter vorkam. Heute sind die Fundmöglichkeiten für Amethyst eher schlecht, andere Mineralien wie Mondstein-Adular, Bergkristall in kleinen Kristallen und Muskovit lassen sich noch leichter finden.
