Quarz, Irisquarz ("Lowelleffect")

Ein etwa 11mm großer, angeschliffener, hellgelber, natürlicher Citrin von den Feldern bei Reichweiler bei Kusel in Rheinland-Pfalz. Er zeigt sehr gut einen blau und grünlich schillernden Bereich, dessen Ursache eine stark verzwillingte Region im Kristall darstellt, an der das Licht interferiert und reflektiert; ("Lowelleffect"- lt. GIA)
