Andalusit (ebouchiert), Fundort: Brasilien/Südosten (Região Sudeste)/Espirito Santo/Santa Teresa, Größe: 6x4,5 mm, Starker Pleochroismus: Rhombisch -> Bei Drehung des Steins verändert sich die Farbe von grünlichen Tönen zu rötlich-braunen Tönen. Beim ebouchieren muss man auf seine gute Spaltbarkeit, seinem Pleochroismus, und seine splittrigen Ausbrüche achten. Wenn man auf Siliciumcarbid schleift, muss man besonders darauf achten, weil das Schleifrad ziehmlich rau sein kann.
