Detailed Description

K.O.V. bildet einen großen Tagebau, der 1982 in Betrieb ging. Die Abkürzung besteht aus Kamoto, Virgule (Name der Lagerstätte) und Oliveira, eine R2-Scholle in der Nähe. 1987 wurde hier eine Uranerzlinse entdeckt, in der weltbeste Roubaultit XX bis 7 mm gefunden wurden. Viele Sammler sahen in den Kristallen aber lediglich Metatorbernit.

2 mm große, schwarzgrüne Brochantitkristalle, verzwillingt und gleichzeitig auch mit faserigen Aggregaten, waren ein Neufund, der sich durchaus mit chilenischen Brochantiten messen kann.
