Geology

Unterer Muschelkalk. Im Kalksteinbruch wird seit 1704 alpiner Muschelkalk abgebaut, dieser findet Verwendung als frostresistenter Wasserbaustein oder als Schottermaterial. In den Hohlräumen des Muschelkalks kommen bisweilen recht schöne Calcit Skalenoeder mit einer Länge bis zu 20mm vor.
