Detailed Description

Die Erschließung neuer Grundstücke unterhalb des Bismarckturmes in Idar, in einem Bereich der als “Grub” bekannt ist, bot kurzfristig die Gelegenheit, Achate aus einem Bereich der Lavaströme rund um Idar-Oberstein aufzusammeln, der ansonsten nicht aufgeschlossen ist. Die Funde waren spärlich und klein, dennoch aufgrund ihres sphärolitischen Aufbaues interessant.
