Detailed Description

„Das Rotliegendbecken von Ilfeld erstreckt sich auf 25 km Länge von Bad Sachsa im Westen über Ellrich-Ilfeld bis nach Hermannsacker im Osten (Abb. 113). Der westliche Teil wird vorwiegend von Sedimenten eingenommen, der östliche Teil vorwiegend von Magmatiten. Bis 6 km nach Norden greifen die Rotliegendgesteine über den gefalteten Harzsockel."
