Detailed description
Gattung mit sehr großen, stark ungleichlappigen Schalen, die rechte Klappe tief gewölbt, die linke Klappe flach-deckelförmig, mit breiten Radialrippen, Ohren gleich groß. Art mit 14-16 breiten scharfkantigen Radialrippen, die auf der gewölbten Klappe fein gekerbt. Rechte Klappe weiß bis blaßrosa, linke Klappe dunkelbraun.
Pecten kommen regelmäßig und häufig auf allen Weichböden, leere Schalen häufig zwischen sekundären Hartböden vor.
