Die Nadelholzart Sequoiadendron giganteum (Mammutbaum) stehen heute noch im Yosemite Nationalpark in Kalifornien. Funde aus dem Miozän im Raum Wechtersbach (Hessen) sind möglich. zutreffend ??? vmtl. ein anderes Taxon der Taxodiaceae !!
