Ausführliche Beschreibung

Die Gattungen dieser Überfamilie bilden eine große Formenvielfalt und sind in zahlreiche Familien und Unterfamilien gegliedert. Es kommen glattschalige so wie auch kompliziert skulpturierte Gehäuse vor. Auch entrollte Formen sind bekannt. Die Lobenlinie ist oft stark zerschlitzt.
