Namibsonne auf Quarz-Windkanter
Eine Flechte mit dem passenden Namen Namibsonne (Caloplaca elegantissima) hat es sich vor vielleicht hundert Jahren auf diesem Quarz-Windkanter bequem gemacht. Sie gehört zu den zähesten Flechten der Welt. Das Stück wurde 1987 in der Namibwüste östlich Walfischbay gesammelt und gelangt über mehrere Hände in meine Sammlung und ist etwa 40 mm x 25 mm groß.
