Ausführliche Beschreibung

Bei den Agnostida handelt es sich um meist nur wenige Millimeter lange Trilobiten.

Optisch ähneln sich das Cephalon und Pygidium. Das Cephalon ist stark gerundet und zum Thorax hin abgeflacht. Die max. Breite des Cephalon liegt meist auf der Hälfte seiner Länge.

Der Thorax besteht bei den Agnostina aus 2 Segmenten, bei den Eodiscina aus 3.

Das Pygidium stimmt in den ausmaßen zumeist mit dem Cephalon überein. Die Spindel des Schwanzschildes ist allerdings meist länger und ausgeprägter als die Glabella des Cephalon.
