Aeger armatus (Oppel 1862) ist ein Synonym zu Aeger tipularius.


Beschreibung

Aeger gehört zu den Zehnfußkrebsen zu dessen Verbreitung es im mittleren Jura kam. Seine mit Borsten versehenen Vorderbeine sind ein besnderes Erkennungsmerkmal. Die Borsten sind so lang, dass der Eindruck eines Kammes entsteht. Weitere Erkennungsmerkmale: seitlich zusammengedrückter, dünnwandiger Panzer, langes Rostrum und lange Hinterbeine. Die ersten drei Paare der Geh-Extremitäten haben Stacheln und enden in Scheren.

Es sind mehrere Arten bekannt, die an der Ausbildung des Überaugenstachels unterschieden werden können.

  • In den Plattenkalken des Juras ein häufiger Krebs.
