Geology

Die Hauptvorkommen von Edelsteinen sind im Granulit Gebiet. Daneben gibt es einen Alkali-Komplex mit Syeniten, Hornblende- und Biotit-haltige Nephelin-Syenite sowie seltener ultrabasische Gesteine wie Melteigit und Malignit. Anders als in den sauren Pegmatiten treten hier Korund, Zirkon, Nephelin und Sodalith auf.
