Abellait ist ein neues basisches Pb-Na-Karbonat-Mineral, das in einem der Stollen der Eureka-Mine gefunden wurde. Abellait hat ein bekanntes synthetisches Analogon [1], das aufgrund möglicher Anwendungen von Bleicarbonaten in der nuklearen Abfallwirtschaft und der nichtlinearen Optik untersucht wurde.
