Malayaite, Hedenbergite, Andradite, Fluorite, Quartz
Large rose-like aggregate of tabular crystals of greenish-yellow Malayaite with minor aggregate of brownish-green prismatic Hedenbergite (bottom). Associating minerals are small brown rhombododecahedrons of Andradite in white Quartz (at the right end), colourless Fluorite (at the left end). Specimen size is 4.5x3x2 cm. Collected by V.K. Politov in trench #2 on ore body #3 of the locality in beginning of 80th. Pavel M. Kartashov collection and scan; Locality: Kan'onskoe Sn deposit, Magadanskaya Oblast', Far-Eastern Region, Russia;

3.8 x 3.8 x 3.0 cm. A great specimen for this locality. A yellow-brown, 3mm, subhedral crystal of malayaite (see photos) located at the terminus of a vug with well-formed crystals of violet-brown, vitreous axinite-(Fe) and white calcite. Fine-grained, disseminated malayaite is also visible in the hedenbergite adjacent to the vug; bright green hedenbergite comprises most of the matrix. Ex. Paolo Matioli collection.
