Occurrences

In der Oxidationszone uranhaltiger Lagerstätten, häufig auch auf Granitklüften in der Nähe solcher Lagerstätten

Generation conditions

sekundär Uranocircit aus uran- und bariumhaltigen Lösungen, später dann Entwässerung, diese kann sowohl natürlich als auch in der Sammlung (dann kein Mineral!) ablaufen und ist nicht reversibel

Associations

Quarz, Baryt, Limonit, Fluorit, Uranophan und Zeunerit, manchmal noch weitere U-Glimmer

Name from

Uranocircit nach circes = Falke wegen der zu Bergen nächstgelegenen Stadt Falkenstein, ansonsten wegen dem U-Gehalt. Das Meta gibt an, dass es sich um ein gegenüber dem Uranocircit entwässertes Mineral handelt.
