Preface

Name from

Rudy Tschernich, geb. im Jahr 1945 in Snohomish, Washington, USA, verstorben am 26.12.2017. Mineraliensammler mit besonderer Neigung zur Zeolithgruppe. Er entdeckte zahlreiche Fundstellen und Minerale, insbesonders den Fundpunkt Neer City Road in Goble, Oregon, wo drei neue Zeolithe entdeckt wurden: Boggsit, Cowlesit und Tschernichit. Von 2003 bis 2011 war er tätig als Kurator am Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals in Hillsboro, Oregon. Dort heißt ein Flügel inzwischen Rudy Tschernich Northwest Mineral Gallery.
