Detailed Description

Der Gilgit-Distrikt ist bekannt für zahlreiche Pegmatitstufen mit zum Teil beachtlichen Ausmaßen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Region um den Haramosh. In diesen Pegmatiten werden neben großen Quarzkristallen sehr gut ausgebildetet Pegmatitminerale wie Turmalin, Topas, Aquamarin und andere Berylle, Granat, Muskovit usw. gefunden. Die Kombination von verschiedenen Mineralen innerhalb einer Stufe macht diese zu begehrten Sammelexemplaren.
