Geology

Das klassische Ultrabasit-Alkali-Massiv zentralen Typs von paläozoischem und Mesozoischem Alter. Der zentrale Teil besteht aus Duniten. Eine Depression ist das Bett berühmter elluvialer-alluvialer Seifen. Die Depression wird ringförmig umgeben von Pyroxeniten und Alkali-Syenit Dykes.

Gewinnung von PGE in Seifen seit 1984 mit insgesamt ca. 60 t. In der letzten Zeit werden jährlich ca. 5 t PGM gewonnen.

Kristallgröße 5,5 mm; hexaedrischer Zvyagintsevitkristall von Konder, Sibirien, Russland. Analyse Dr. Thomas Raber. Bei einer Untersuchung von 11 hexaedrischen "Platinkristallen" von Konder konnten zwei Zvyagintsevite festgestellt werden. Sie sind beide etwas "weißer" als die Platinwürfel.
