Journey Description

Auf der R 63 fährt man ca. 14 km in Richtung Kopparberg an den Lerviken, die NO Bucht des Sees Yngen. Kurz vor der Bucht geht von der R 63 in spitzem Winkel die alte Straße zurück zu einer Reihe von Einfamilienhäusern (S-Seite des Weges). S der Häuser in hügeligem Wald liegt die Fundstelle am Rande des Hochwaldes.

Exposure description

Erdgrube mit Halden.

Geology

Arbeitet auf einer Dolomit-Linse zwischen K-Metarhyoliten und Urgestein. Tephroit-Skarn.

Detailed Description

Kleine Eisen-Mangan-Mine, die von 1847-1853 und von 1887-1889 betrieben wurde. Die Mine ist 33m tief, 15 m lang und 2 m breit. Ähnlichkeit zu Langban.

Fundmöglichkeiten: H. ist die interessanteste Grube. Von hohen Bäumen bestanden war die Grube lange Jahre eine Fundgrube par excellance. Heute bedarf es großer Mühe, zu guten Funden zu kommen.
