Detailed Description

Am Schwarzhorn sind stark gefaltete ostalpine Flachmeersedimente (100 Mio. Jahre), als Wechsellagerungen von Kalkschichten und Ton-/ Mergelschichten aufgeschlossen.

An Mineralien können etwas Pyrit als derb eingesprengte Aggregate bis 20 mm im Tonstein sowie sehr häufig Calcit in Klüften und Rissen im Kalk, z. T. als freie Rhomboeder in bis 20 mm gesehen werden. In solchen Calcitdrusen befinden sich mitunter kleine Quarzkristalle bis 3 mm.
