Detailed Description

Die Carrock Mine ist die 1.Mine, an der man (am Beginn des Anstiegs von Mosedale kommend) vorbeikommt. Sie ist in GB außerhalb Cornwalls die einzigste Wolframit-Mine. Sie war nie lohnend im Abbau. Besitzer war eine deutsche Firma. Hauptabbau während des 2.Weltkrieges.

Auf den Halden kann man noch Belegstücke finden.
