Detailed Description

Winslow ist der Fundort der legendären grünen "Chrom-Hölzer" aus der triassischen Chinle-Fm. Nach Mindat ist die genaue Fundstelle der "Mackleprang Wash" in der Nähe von "Rotten Bananas Butte".
Die Analysen von Mustoe & Acosta (2016) haben bestätigt, dass bei diesen Hölzern - im Gegensatz zu solchen von vielen anderen Fundstellen - wirklich Chrom ausschlaggebend ist für die grüne Färbung.
