Detailed Description

Die Sheep Rock Unit des Gebietes liegt im Grant Co., zwischen den Orten Kimberly und Dayville. Hier stehen das Thomas Condon Paleontology Center mit den Forschungslaboren und einer Ausstellung zur Paläontologie.

Die Painted Hills Unit liegt im Wheeler Co. 15 km W von Mitchell im Becken des John Day River am Bridge Creek.

In der Clarno Unit, ebenfalls im Wheeler Co. und 35 km W der Ortschaft Fossil.
