Im Juab County findet sich der sogenannte “Flowering Tube-Onyx” (Blumenvasen-Onyx). Das Material zeigt sehr schöne festungsartige Bänderungen und interessante blumenartige Einschlüsse. Allerdings ist der “Flowering-Tube-Onyx” kein echter Achat (der aus Quarz besteht), sondern eine karbonatische Bildung. Das macht sich insbesondere durch seine geringe Härte bemerkbar. Allerdings nimmt das Material eine gute Politur an.
