Wolfe, Caleb Wroe

Dr. Caleb Wroe Wolfe ( + 22. Okt. 1908 - gest. 17. Juli 1980) war ein US-amerikanischer Geologe und Kristallograph.

Bachelor of Science, River Falls State Teachers College, 1930. Postgraduate Boston University, 1930-1931. A.M., Harvard, 1935, Doctor of Philosophy, 1940. Faculty, Boston University, 1941-1980, Professor für Geologie, 1947-1980, department chairman 1947-1962. President, Earth Science Institute, 1949-1952. Fulbright lecturer, Dacca, East Pakistan, 1963-1964.

Von 1941 bis 74 war er in der Boston University tätig. Er hatte sehr vielfältige Interessen. Sein Hauptgebiet war die systematische Mineralogie, das Interesse an Granit-Pegmatit Phosphaten.

Fellow Geological Society American, Mineral. Society American; member American Geophysical Union, Boston Geological Society (Präsident 1949-1951, Sekretär 1951-1953), American Meteorological Society, New York Academy Science.
