Fadenquarz heißt in Italien z.B.auch "Faden",ebenso "gwindel".

Bei Gwindel wusste ich, dass es in "ausländisch" auch so heißt.

bin mir nicht so sicher, daß wir mit Fensterquarz dasselbe meinen.
Den Begriff window-quartz wie er unter http://www.arkansascrystalworks.com/window_descript.htm beschrieben ist,meine ich jedenfalls nicht, wenn ich von einem Fensterquarz spreche. ;)

"WINDOW CRYSTALS"
A window crystal is a crystal with an extra diamond shaped facet.
If you are unsure if a crystal has a window or not, count the facets. It there are only six, it does not. It there are more than six, it does. A centrally located diamond shaped facet is simply a window crystal. A slanting diamond is either a left or right activation window or they are also referred to as "time links" or "doors". The window that slants to the left is a time link or door to the past, and the window that slants to the right is a time link or door to the future.
