Nomenclature proposal approved in November 2012

IMA 12-C: Dumortierite-Supergruppe A report on the nomenclature of the minerals of the dumortierite-Supergruppe has been approved, and the endmember compositions have been defined. The-Supergruppe presently includes six valid species, divided into two-Gruppes (and a potential third-Gruppe).

IMA 12-F: A new root-name for the amphibole composition ☐(NaMn2+)(Mg4Al)Si8O22(OH)2 The above composition, mentioned as ‘‘rootname11’’ in the newly-approved amphibole report, has been assigned the name ‘‘ghoseite’’, in honour of Subrata Ghose (b. 1932), Emeritus Professor at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA. Accordingly, the new mineral IMA 2003-066, whose endmember composition is ?(NaMn2+)(Mg4Fe3+)Si8O22(OH)2, is named ferri-ghoseite.

die Formel für Barikait ist falsch. Laut Veröffentlichung (Topa, D. et al. (2013)) ist sie Pb₁₀Ag₃(Sb₈As₁₁)_Σ19S₄₀.

Ich habe noch etwas verändern müssen.  Nicht weil etwas falsch war sondern weil das System mit den Summen Angaben nichts anfangen kann und ich diese aus der Formel heraus genommen habe.

Die Summe der Atome in der Klammer Σ19 sind für die Formel nicht essentiell und wir prüfen bisher nicht darauf, was zu fehlerhafter Masse führen könnte. Da muss ich noch nachkorrigieren.

Hallo,

die Formel von Línekit ist von den Entdeckern anhand neuer TG Daten korrigiert worden (8 anstatt 7 Hydratgruppen). Im Lexikon habe ich dies geändert, die IMA führt allerdings noch die alte, obwohl denen die Arbeit bekannt ist.
