Exhibition 12.-13.6.2026 in Banska Bystrica, Slovakia

Dear friend of minerals and mines :-)

I would like to inform You and Your friends about the 5th annual OpenAir sales exhibition of minerals, fossils and jewelry with international presence.

The exhibition will take place on June 12-13, 2026 (Friday-Saturday) in the heart of the city -SNP Square (Námestie SNP) in Banská Bystrica, Slovakia, in cooperation with the City of Banská Bystrica and the other partners - thanks to which, we can bring the beauty and interesting facts about rocks, minerals and mining to the general public as well as to the experts.

As usual, the part of a program for both days - we are preparing to organize several events such as the popular panning for gold, geologists from the scientific institutions will be available for orientative determination of minerals and rocks for the public.
Every day there will be a raffle, the proceeds of which will go to Children's Oncology at the General Hospital in Banská Bystrica and at the same time to DEBORA, a shelter for abandoned and abused mothers with children.

During the entire event, partner institutions and museums will be presented and promoted, just like last year.

This year is special, because of the 500th anniversary of the miners' uprising in the Central Slovak mining region, which will be commemorated by an exhibition located directly in the OpenAir exhibition area.
