The "Eisen­ham­mer" (iron ham­mer) to He­im­buchen­thal The former "Eisenhammer" (iron hammer) to Heimbuchenthal has to show a very interesting history. The hammer mill established at the beginning of the 18th century reached at the end of the 18th century in the possession of the family Rexroth under whose guidance the company came to the full blossom. The squires showed a high social engagement which was reflected in the reimbursement of the workers, but also in the enlargement of the entrance ways. In specially constructed schools up to 30 children were teaches on the hammer mill property. On one, from oaks surrounded cemetery the late squires and their members were buried. In 1891 the company was discontinued and the hammer mill was converted into a court estate. From the industrial monument all buildings except the great smithy are even today in a very good state.

Ge­o­log­i­cal Por­trait - The AlpsThe Alps are the highest and most extensive mountain range system that lies entirely in Europe, stretching approximately 1,200 km across eight Alpine countries from Austria and Slovenia in the east, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Germany, and France to the west, and Italy and Monaco to the south. The Caucasus Mountains are higher, and the Urals longer, but both lie partly in Asia. The Alps were formed over tens of millions of years as the African and Eurasian tectonic plates collided. Extreme shortening caused by the event resulted in marine sedimentary rocks rising by thrusting and folding into high mountain peaks such as Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Mont Blanc spans the French–Italian border, and at 4,810 m is the highest mountain in the Alps. The Alpine region area contains about a hundred peaks higher than 4,000 m known as the "four-thousanders".

Gam­maspek­trome­trieBei der γ-Spektrometrie handelt es sich um ein relativ komplexes Messverfahren, welches als Ergebnis die gemessenen Ereignisse als Funktion der γ-Energie ausgibt. Dadurch ist es möglich, die im Messgut enthaltenen Nuklide mit γ-Übergängen qualitativ und quantitativ zu bestimmen. Für die Mineralogie ist es eigentlich die einzige, zerstörungsfreie Möglichkeit, die Aktivität und Nuklidzusammensetzung einer Stufe mit hoher Genauigkeit zu bestimmen (rechnerische Ermittlung der Efficiency vorausgesetzt).

Die hierzu benötigten Detektoren müssen also in der Lage sein, Ereignisse nach ihrer durch Wechselwirkung mit γ-Strahlung deponierten Energie aufzulösen. Da die Wechselwirkungswahrscheinlichkeit von γ-Quanten mit zunehmender Dichte und Kernladungzahl Z der Materie ansteigt, ist man bestrebt, für die γ-Spektrometrie entsprechende Detektoren einzusetzen. Weniger häufig sind Zeolithe, welche Ba, Sr, Cs, Li und Mg enthalten. Bis heute sind 97 natürliche Spezies bekannt, darunter die wichtigsten Klinoptilolith, Chabasit, Phillipsit, Mordenit, Laumontit, Stilbit, Heulandit, Analcim, Natrolith und Thomsonit. Charakteristisch für alle Zeolithe ist ihre dreidimensionale Aluminosilikat-Struktur mit variablen polyedrischen Gruppen, deren Struktur mit Wasser gefüllte relativ große Kanäle und Hohlräume zwischen diesen Polyedern enthält. Diese Hohlräume und Kanäle können Kationen (z.B. Metall-Ionen), Wasser und andere Moleküle enthalten, welche den Zeolithe ihre wichtigsten Eigenschaften als Molekularsiebe, Katalysatoren, Ionenaustauscher etc. verleihen.
