The "Eisen­ham­mer" (iron ham­mer) to He­im­buchen­thal The former "Eisenhammer" (iron hammer) to Heimbuchenthal has to show a very interesting history. The hammer mill established at the beginning of the 18th century reached at the end of the 18th century in the possession of the family Rexroth under whose guidance the company came to the full blossom. The squires showed a high social engagement which was reflected in the reimbursement of the workers, but also in the enlargement of the entrance ways. In specially constructed schools up to 30 children were teaches on the hammer mill property. On one, from oaks surrounded cemetery the late squires and their members were buried. In 1891 the company was discontinued and the hammer mill was converted into a court estate. From the industrial monument all buildings except the great smithy are even today in a very good state.

Syn­thetische Kris­talle - Zirko­nia / Zir­co­ni­um(IV)-oxidZirkonia, auch bekannt als Zirconia oder Fianit, bezeichnet künstlich hergestellte Einkristalle aus Zirconium(IV)-oxid (chemische Formel: ZrO2), die in ihrer kubischen Hochtemperaturphase stabilisiert sind. Es handelt sich dabei um kein natürlich vorkommendes Mineral. Im Jahr 1937 entdeckten die Mineralogen M. V. Stackelberg and K. Chudoba das natürliche Vorkommen von kubischem Zirkoniumoxid in Form mikroskopisch kleiner Körnchen in metamiktem Zirkon. Sie interpretierten diese Körnchen als Beiprodukt des Metamiktisierungsprozesse. Beide Mineralogen würdigten das Mineral nicht mit einem eigenen Namen, da ihnen dies damals unwesentlich erschien. Mittels Röntgendiffraktomie konnten sie die Existens des natürlichen Ebenbildes des künstlichen Produktes nachweisen.

Pet­ri­fied For­est Na­tio­n­al ParkThe Petrified Forest is primarily a geological park, which owes its origin to the climate and geological events. It is part of the so-called Painted Desert and shows with its various layers a strange and impressive scenery. Characterized by erosion, it is a treasure trove of fossils. The rock formations show a chronicle of the past and give clues about the events of bygone days. In the park you can exposure rock strata until 234 million years ago. The colorful desert hills, the flat mesas and shaped hills attributable primarily to Chinle Formation and are fluvial sediments, caused by water movement. Countless fossilized wood and tree trunks bear witness to a scrumptious earlier fauna.

Grube Ro­land... Die Lagerung ist sehr gestört und uneinheitlich. Der Hauptgang ist vom Schacht nach Westen zu gespalten in zwei Parallelgänge, den nördlichen "Arnold-Gang" und den südlichen "Glückauf-Gang", nach circa 200 m treffen sich beide Gänge in einer Scharungszone (Trümmerzone) wieder. Auf der 52 m Sohle wird nach Osten hin ein 3 bis 4 m breiter Gang erwähnt. Die Gangfüllung, soweit man noch im eigentlichen Sinne von einem regelmäßigen Gang sprechen kann, ist so angeordnet, daß in einem verkitteten Haufwerk von +/- veränderten Graniteinschlüssen (z.T. weiss gebleicht in Salbandregion - kaolinisiert - oder grünlich verschmiert - nontronitisiert -) der Stinkspat in +/- großen Adern, Zonen und Häufungen angereichert ...
