Das Zählrohr besteht in der Regel aus einem beidseitig abgeschlossenen Rohrstück, welches entweder aus einem elektrisch leitenden Material (Metall), oder aus elektrisch isolierendem Material (z.B. Glas), das jedoch innen elektrisch leitend beschichtet sein muss, hergestellt ist. In seinem Inneren befindet sich von der elektrisch leitfähigen Außenwand isoliert ein dünner Zähldraht. Das Na­tur­wis­sen­schaftliche Mu­se­um Schön­born­er Hof Aschaf­fen­burgIm alten Bau des Schönborner Hofes befindet sich das Naturwissenschaftliche Museum der Stadt Aschaffenburg. Das bereits 1970 eingerichtete Museum zeigt neben einer rund 300 Exemplaren umfassenden ornithologischen Sammlung auch eine sehr sehenswerte und umfangreiche entomologische Sammlung (Insektensammlung). Die im Museum gezeigte Wanzensammlung gilt als eine der größten in Europa. Daneben befindet sich im Museum eine Mineraliensammlung, die einen Eindruck in den früheren Kupferabbau im Spessart gibt.

How long people processed galena as main ore for the production of lead is unknown. As lead inter alia used as an additive to various melts (e.g. to bronze and the salt-cementation process for gold extraction) one can assume that the properties of this mineral were known before 3000 BC. Other sources speak of a history of lead about 7000-9000 years BC back.

Min­er­al por­trait gar­netThis portrait mainly deals with the 6 classic garnets, their amazing history, the world’s best known classic and modern localities and deposits and their use as a gems or abrasives. It also deals with the common belief related to the non-existence of blue garnets and its refutation proven by new finds. A separate chapter deals with synthetic garnets. But it also deals with the mix up of definitions, groupings and old and unnecessary terms, which have finally been terminated or brought to a common denominator.

In 2012 the IMA (CNMNC) has defined garnets as members of the Garnet Supergroup, which include all minerals isostructural with garnet regardless of what elements occupy the four atomic sites; i.e. the supergroup includes several chemical classes . Those minerals are closely related to each other and may form a series with each other. Some garnets form intermediary minerals between each member, and may even be intergrown within a single crystal.

With the publication of the new nomenclature of the garnet supergroup, the term “garnet group” does not have its meaning anymore and the intermediate working term “Garnet superstructural group” has been replaced by “Garnet Supergroup”.
There are 32 approved species and 5 “candidate” species waiting on approval. The 32 species are subdivided by their Z-charge into 29 species, which belong to 5 groups and to 3 single representative species.
One of those 5 groups is the “Garnet group”, consisting of the 6 former (classic) garnets Pyrope, Grossular, Spessartine, Almandine, Uvarovite and Andradite plus 8 rarer garnets , as Menzerite-(Y), Eringaite, Goldmanite, Momoiite, Knorringite, Calderite, Majorite and Morimotoite.

Berg­bau am Kien­berg (Rausch­berg, Rauschen­berg)Das Gebiet um Ruhpolding und Inzell ist heutzutage ein geradezu idyllischer Fleck, das als Ferienregion Wanderern, Gleitschirmfliegern, Skifahrern und Langläufern zahlreiche Möglichkeiten bietet, ihrem Hobby nachzugehen. Durch die großen Wintersportereignisse - Eisschnelllauf in Inzell, Biathlon in Ruhpolding -, aber auch durch das Skigebiet Winkelmoosalm - von Ruhpolding kommend auf dem Weg zum Parkplatz Seegatterl fährt man am Rauschberg vorbei - haben die östlichen Chiemgauer Alpen einen überregionalen Bekanntheitsgrad gewonnen.

Dabei hat diese Ecke der Alpen auch eine ganz andere Tradition. Über Jahrhunderte - grob von der Mitte des 16. Jh. bis in die Anfänge des 20. Jh. - wurde hier Bergbau betrieben, und das Metall auch weiterverarbeitet.
