Glas), das jedoch innen elektrisch leitend beschichtet sein muss, hergestellt ist. In seinem Inneren befindet sich von der elektrisch leitfähigen Außenwand isoliert ein dünner Zähldraht. Dabei stellt der besagte Zähldraht die Anode, das Zählrohrgehäuse die Kathode dar.
