Kas­par Maria Graf von Stern­bergKaspar Sternberg wurde als jüngster von 3 Söhnen des Grafen Johann von Sternberg geboren. Mit elf Jahren wurde er für die geistliche Laufbahn bestimmt und begann 1778 mit der priesterlichen Ausbildung im Collegium Germanicum in Rom. Er ging 1783 nach Regensburg, um eine kirchliche Laufbahn zu beschreiten. 1802 wurde er als Stellvertreter des Fürsten Thurn und Taxis die Spitze der dortigen politischen Verwaltung, des Landesdirektoriums. Während der nächsten 4 Jahre war er Gesandter am Immerwährenden Reichstag ...

Der gewöhnliche Habitus des Anatas ist dipyramidal, wobei die Doppelpyramide {111} spitzer als die Doppelpyramide {112} ist und der Form nach einem Oktaeder gleichkommt (aber auch rundlich oder flachdipyramidal). Die Enden der Kristalle sind unterschiedlich, oft nur an den Kristallen eine Dipyramide ohne weitere Flächen. Dies ist der am häufigst vorkommende Habitus. Weniger, jedoch nicht selten, treten Dipyramiden mit abgestumpften Spitzen auf, bzw. auch durch eine Basisfläche angeschnitten, welche wiederum von Flächen weiterer Dipyramiden begleitet sein kann. Vilo­co Mine, La Paz, Bo­livienDie Viloco Mine liegt hoch über der Ortschaft Viloco auf bis zu über 4900m. Die Mine zieht sich dabei über mehrere hundert Meter entlang des Berges in die Höhe. Sie befindet sich im "Cordillera Quimsa Cruz" (Aymara-Sprache) oder "Kimsa Krus" (Quechua-Sprache) oder auch "Tres Cruces" (deutsch "drei Kreuze") genanntem Gebirgszug im Departamento La Paz. Zahlreiche Stolleneingänge und meist verfallene Bergwerksbauten zeugen von einer umfangreichen Bergbautätigkeit. Verschiedene Quellen schreiben auch von Araca Mine, der Name sei quasi austauschbar. Hierbei handelt es sich um einen historischen Namen.

Beryl - (Goshenite, Aqua­marine, Emer­ald, Mor­ganite, He­lio­dore ...)Because of its form, color and transparency, Beryl has always fascinated people. Emeralds, aquamarines, heliodors and morganites were and are used for the manufacture of jewelry because of their beauty. The common beryl is the main source of the metal beryllium; 80 % of beryllium ore is mined in the United States. The largest known crystal reached a length of 18 m.
