Geiger-Müller-Zäh­ler... Das Zählrohr besteht in der Regel aus einem beidseitig abgeschlossenen Rohrstück, welches entweder aus einem elektrisch leitenden Material (Metall), oder aus elektrisch isolierendem Material (z.B. Glas), das jedoch innen elektrisch leitend beschichtet sein muss, hergestellt ist. In seinem Inneren befindet sich von der elektrisch leitfähigen Außenwand isoliert ein dünner Zähldraht. Dabei stellt der besagte Zähldraht die Anode, das Zählrohrgehäuse die Kathode dar. Befüllt ist der Zwischenraum mit einem Zählgas, welches das eigentliche Detektorvolumen (für Korpuskelstrahlung) darstellt.

Felds­patDie Geschichte des Feldspats ist eng verbunden mit der Geschichte des Porzellans. Die alten Chinesen konnten schon seit der Steinzeit feine Keramik herstellen. Während der Chou-Dynastie (1122 - 255 v.Chr.) wurde im Gebiet um Sha-Hsing (Provinz Chekiang, einem Teil des damaligen Staates Yüeh) graue bis olivgraue, bei hohen Temperaturen gebrannte Keramik entwickelt, welche unter dem Namen Yüeh (oder Yüeh-Yao) bekannt und berühmt wurde. Diese Keramikgegenstände waren mit einer gelblichgrünen oder graugrünen Glasur aus Feldspat überzogen, welche als Vorläufer der bis heute hoch geschätzten Celadon-Keramik gilt. Fast 1.500 Jahre später wurden in der Sui-Periode (600 n.Chr.) erste Keramiken aus meist unglasiertem Kaolin produziert. Min­er­al Por­trait Flu­o­riteThe mineral portrait fluorit is based on the book "SEROKA, P.; 2001: FLUORIT - Daten - Fakten - Weltweite Vorkommen"; a detailed and exhaustive information on the mineral's characteristics, the crystal forms, crystal growth and the different aggregates and pseudomorphoses.

Special chapters deal with the fluorite deposits and global settings, the mining of fluorspar and ore processing; One chapter shows the development of fluorite collecting in the past and now.

The most comprehensive part of the book is dedicated to the mineral's worldwide deposits, describing the best known old, classic and modern occurrences in 96 countries . A great number of mineral and mining photographs accompany each chapter, showing the characteristics of most fluorites from a specific deposit.

Grube Jo­han­nesschacht im Wölsen­dor­fer Re­vi­erDie Grube Johanneschacht hatte eine der wenigen Aufbereitungsanlagen im Wölsendorfer Revier und daher wurde auch Rohmaterial von anderen Gruben hier angeliefert. Das waren: Grube Max, Grube Hanns und die Aufschlußgrube Lissenthan. Bedeutet das nicht alle Stufen die den Namen Johannesschacht tragen auch aus dieser Grube stammen. Angebote sollten kritisch hinterfragt werden.
Stufen die auf Halde gefunden wurden oder im über Tage Bereich bekommen als Fundortbezeichnung "Halde der Grube Johannesschacht" oder "über Tage Fund Grube Johannesschacht", u.U. noch mit einem entsprechenden Hinweis.
1929 wird erwähnt, daß bis zu einer Teufe von 28 Meter grobspätiger Stinkspat vorgefunden wurde. Uranmineralien wurden erst ab einer Teufe von 18 m angetroffen.

Dev­il's Pul­pitActually, this is a picturesque place in a well-kept forest. Nevertheless, in the past, evil itself is said to have preached to the damned here from a large, solitary, towering rock spur. Today, the term Devil's Pulpit inspires one to play with associations, as do the drawings of agates found here. Their fantastic outlines, coupled with the unusual shape of the secondary rock, evoke images in the viewer that he would not have suspected in a stone. And on the devil's pulpit no longer an evil demon is waiting for the agate collector, but other executive powers threatening with purgatory... a contribution by Klaus Schäfer and others (in german)
