TwinsThe study of twins starts due to the very first beginnings of crystallography as a science. Not negligible for this reason, the idea or the concept of a twin crystal are often associated with a macroscopic building. Modern studies at the nano scale have shown that the formation of twins can occur at a very early stage of crystal growing. Based on these findings, it does beg the request to reconsider the formation mechanisms, and adjacency to the newly different categories. (Text in german)

JadeWährend der Kolonialisierung Zentralamerikas (Anfang 16. Jh. bids Anfang 19. Jh.) durch die Spanier entdeckten diese, dass die Einwohner bestimmte grüne Steine als Heilsteine oder Amulette gegen Nierenleiden trugen. Die Spanier nannten diese Steine "piedra de ijada" (etwa Lenden- bzw. Nierenstein, auch als "Piedra de los riñones = Stein der Nieren / für die Nieren" bezeichnet). Der spanische Ausdruck "piedra de ijada" wurde ins Französische als "l’éjade" übernommen und ungefähr im 17. Jahrhundert fälschlich zu "le jade" umgebildet.

Der Begriff wurde in Europa dann auf Jade chinesischer bzw. asiatischer Herkunft ausgeweitet.

Forschungsbohrungen (1988, Groß Pampau I & II) ergaben, dass ab ca. 7 m Tiefe der Tonschichten das mittlere Langenfeldium, ab ca. 19 m das untere Langenfeldium und ab ca. 29 m das obere Reinbekium beginnnt. Während des Hauptabbaus (Seeseite) in Groß Pampau waren ca. 17 m der Glimmertonschichten mehr oder weniger zugänglich, als Ton für die Deponieabdeckung abgebaut wurde. Anhand der aufgelesenen Fossilien (mehr als 150 Arten konnten gefunden werden) und dem Vergleich dieser Arten mit heute noch in gemäßigteren Regionen lebenden Vertretern (und deren Lebensbedingungen), geht man von einer damals durchschnittlichen Wassertiefe von 50 - 80 m aus. ...

Der Koch­er­s­tollen im Wölsen­dor­fer Re­vi­erBei dem Kocherstollen handelte es sich um einen 150 m langen, fast waagerecht in den Berg getriebenen Stollen; daran schloß sich ein sogenannter Bremsberg von vielleicht 50 m Länge an, der in eine Tiefe von circa 30 m führte. Vom Ende dieses Bremsberges aus wurden 2 Strecken aufgefahren, die eine in nordwestlicher und die andere in südöstlicher Richtung. Die NWstrecke erreichte eine Länge von etwa 60 m, die SEstrecke eine solche von etwa 250 m. Von der NWstrecke war ein sogenannter Überhau (Luftloch) bis über Tage herausgearbeitet worden. Die Gänge wurden in den oberen Partien abgebaut, waren zum Schluß aber nur noch 25 - 30 cm mächtig und damit nicht mehr ... Ein Beitrag von Michael Kommer
