Sock­el zur Min­er­alien­präsen­ta­tion aus Plexi­glasZur Präsentation besonders schöner Mineralienstufen werden gerne Stufen auf transparente Sockel aus Kunststoff in die Vitrine gestellt. Die Sockel, die sich üblicherweise auf dem Markt befinden (Mineralienbörsen oder div. Zubehörgeschäfte im Internet), sind praktisch immer aus Plexiglas hergestellt. Die Preise variieren von Anbieter zu Anbieter.

In der folgenden Anleitung soll gezeigt werden, dass man aus geschnittenen Rohlingen mit einfachen Mitteln solche Sockel selbst hergestellt werden können.

Cop­per - one of the old­est me­t­als of mankindCopper was one of the first metals ever extracted and used by humans, and it has made vital contributions to sustaining and improving society since the dawn of civilization.
The metal and its alloys have been used for thousands of years. Copper was first used in coins and ornaments starting about 8000 B.C., and at about 5500 B.C., copper tools helped civilization emerge from the Stone Age. In the Roman era, copper was principally mined on Cyprus, hence the origin of the name of the metal as сyprium (metal of Cyprus), later shortened to сuprum.

The discovery that copper alloyed with tin produces bronze marked the beginning of the Bronze Age at about 3000 B.C.
Copper is easily stretched, molded, and shaped; is resistant to corrosion; and conducts heat and electricity efficiently. As a result, copper was important to early humans and continues to be a material of choice for a variety of domestic, industrial, and high-technology applications today.

Silver wires and curls from Kongsberg and Freiberg are the coronation of each mineral collection. Beautiful pyrargyrites and proustites enhance each collector's heatbeat.

However, silver is not only the essence of high-end collecting but has contributed essentially to the history of mankind. Uncountable remain the millions of greek and phenician slaves, middle age european miners and millions of indios who have left their lives for silver.

Konkre­tio­nen und Knollen ... Konkretionen wurden in den vergangenen Jahrhunderten oft als geologische Kuriositäten betrachtet. Aufgrund der Vielzahl ungewöhnlicher Formen, Größen und Zusammensetzungen wurden sie als Dinosaurier-Eier, Tier- oder Pflanzenfossilien (sogen. Pseudofossilien), extraterrestrischer Abfall oder selbst als vom Menschen erzeugte Artefakte interpretiert. Grube Er­na im Wölsen­dor­fer Re­vi­er... 1922 erwerben die "Süddeutsche Flußspatwerke GmbH", Nabburg das Ausbeuterecht der PlanNr. 706 vom Bauer Xaver Wilhelm in Stulln und suchen hier nach Flußspat unter Grube Stullner Berg II. Dies war der Ansatz für die Entwicklung des Bergbaus auf dem später so genannten Erna-Gang.
1929 kommen die "Süddeutsche Flußspatwerke GmbH", Nabburg infolge der schlechten Absatzlage in Zahlungsschwierigkeiten, der Betrieb wird stillgelegt und Konkurs angemeldet.
1933 erwirbt Eduard Montag, der letzte Betriebsleiter der Süddeutschen Flußspatwerke, aus der Konkursmasse von die Firma "Süddeutschen Flußspatwerke GmbH" den Untersuchungsbetrieb auf PlanNr. 706. Eduard Montag kauft einen 25 PS Dieselmotor und einen Kompressor und teuft einen Schacht bis auf 70 m ab und beginnt mit der Flußspatförderung. Die Grube bekam den Namen seiner Frau "Erna".

Ge­ol­o­gisch­es Por­trait - Wüste In kulturhistorischer Hinsicht spielte die Wüste seit der Antike eine wichtige Rolle in der europäischen Historiographie und Literatur. Einerseits symbolisierte die Wüste seit Herodot das Fremde und Andersartige, das sich dem europäischen Zugriff entzog. Andererseits bot die Wüste aber auch Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Insbesondere durch die Bibel (Auszug aus Ägypten der Israeliten, Versuchungen Christi) und die spätere hagiographische Literatur (Eremiten) wurde ein Bild der Wüste nach Europa transportiert, das im Kern bis heute fortwirkt. Durch die Domestizierung des Dromedars gelang es dem Menschen, tiefer in die großen Wüsten vorzudringen und zu durchqueren.
