Min­er­alien­por­trait Ery­thrin Erythrinkristalle waren in allen Zeiten begehrte Sammelobjekte. Schon im Jahr 1776 beschrieb der französische Mineraloge und Kristallograph Romé de L'Isle fast hundert Stufen aus der berühmten Sammlung des Peruaners Pedro Franciso Davila. Diese zu dieser Zeit noch als Kobaltbüten oder "Fleurs de Cobalt" genannten Erythrine stammten zumeist aus den Schneeberger und Annaberger Revieren im Erzgebirge, doch auch Stufen von Richelsdorf und aus Spanien waren bereits bekannt.

Der Begriff Erythrin war sehr lange mit seinem berühmtesten Fundort, dem Schneeberger Revier verbunden. Die jedoch schönsten und größten Erythrine der Welt wurden in den letzten 40 Jahren im bedeutenden Kobalterzrevier von Bou Azzer in Marokko gefunden. In den 60er - 70er und in den gerade kürzlich zurückliegenden 2000er Jahren waren Stufen mit zentimetergroßen Kristallen nicht selten. Es gab sogar Kristalle von 20-25 cm (und mehr). Vorausgesetzt, der Kobaltbergbau in Bou Azzer hält an, werden auch zukünftig wie fast jedes Jahr spektakuläre Erythrine geborgen werden können.

Wan­ni­gletsch­er-Scher­ba­dung - Eine span­nende Steine-Geschichte...Während meines Studiums profitierte ich in besonderer Weise von den jeweils dreimonatigen Semesterferien. Ich verbrachte sie hauptsächlich im schweizerischen Binntal, wo ich bei dem einheimischen Strahler Andre Gorsatt quasi „ in die Lehre gehen“ durfte. Ich reinigte und formatierte Fundstücke, begleitete zuerst die Strahlerexkursionen, die Andre Gorsatt anbot und durfte in Folge auch eigene Führungen leiten. Es mag an meinem Habitus von einem Drittel Athlet und zwei Dritteln Pykniker gelegen haben, dass ich in der Hauptsache für die Familien- und Senioren-Führungen vorgesehen wurde... Do­naus­taufer Re­vi­erDie Flußspatvorkommen des Donaustaufer Reviers liegen am tektonisch stark überprägten Südsaum (Donaurandbruch) der böhmischen Masse. Es handelt sich um hydrothermale Ganglagerstätten, die entweder Kristallgranit I oder mittelkörnigen Granit durchschlagen. Ihr südliches Ende liegt in jener Zone, wo das Nebengestein bereits durch Kataklase geprägt ist. Im Norden werden die Gänge entweder von einer Störungszone abgeschnitten (Sulzbach II) bzw. vertauben knapp vorher oder aber sie gehen bei gleicher Breite in einen reinen Quarzgang über (Gänge des fürstlichen Tiergartens). Dev­il's Pul­pitActually, this is a picturesque place in a well-kept forest. Nevertheless, in the past, evil itself is said to have preached to the damned here from a large, solitary, towering rock spur. Today, the term Devil's Pulpit inspires one to play with associations, as do the drawings of agates found here. Their fantastic outlines, coupled with the unusual shape of the secondary rock, evoke images in the viewer that he would not have suspected in a stone.
