Min­er­al Por­trait Gale­naIt is not possible to write a chapter about the mineral galena without looking at the history of lead and silver to name two of the most important raw materials and materials of humanity. How long people processed galena as main ore for the production of lead is unknown. As lead inter alia used as an additive to various melts (e.g. to bronze and the salt-cementation process for gold extraction) one can assume that the properties of this mineral were known before 3000 BC. Other sources speak of a history of lead about 7000-9000 years BC back.

TwinsThe study of twins starts due to the very first beginnings of crystallography as a science. Not negligible for this reason, the idea or the concept of a twin crystal are often associated with a macroscopic building. Modern studies at the nano scale have shown that the formation of twins can occur at a very early stage of crystal growing. Based on these findings, it does beg the request to reconsider the formation mechanisms, and adjacency to the newly different categories. (Text in german)

Grube Cä­cilia im Wölsen­dor­fer Re­vi­er1936 erwirbt die Firma "Saline Ludwigshalle AG", Bad Wimpfen, die Grube Kallmünzer. Daraufhin wurde der Firmenname ( Besitzer) in "Flußspatwerk Schwarzenfeld GmbH, vorm. Anton Kallmünzer" geändert. Die Flußspatgrube wird von nun an Grube Cäcilia, teils auch Grube Cäcilie, genannt. Anton Kallmünzer bleibt Teilhaber und Geschäftsführer.
Schacht Cäcilia II ist mit 86 m Teufe Hauptförderschacht. Der Schacht Marie, ehemals zu Grube Freiung II zugehörig und der Reichhart-Schacht, ehemals Grube Freiung I, werden als Wetterschächte genutzt. Im gleichen Jahr erwirbt die Firma auch das Ausbeuterecht ... Ein Beitrag von Michael Kommer

The Caucasus Mountains are higher, and the Urals longer, but both lie partly in Asia. The Alps were formed over tens of millions of years as the African and Eurasian tectonic plates collided. Extreme shortening caused by the event resulted in marine sedimentary rocks rising by thrusting and folding into high mountain peaks such as Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn. Mont Blanc spans the French–Italian border, and at 4,810 m is the highest mountain in the Alps. The Alpine region area contains about a hundred peaks higher than 4,000 m known as the "four-thousanders".

Hu­ber­s­tock (Hubr; Hu­ber open pit; Hub­ský peň)Bei der Fundstelle Huberstock (auch Tagebau Hubr, Steinbruch Hubr) handelt es sich um die Pinge eines im 16. Jh eingestürzten Bergbaus auf Zinn mit den umliegenden Halden (Beran 2006). Diese stammen sowohl aus dem geschichtlichen Bergbau, wie auch aus den Aktivitäten -untertage und übertage- in jüngster Zeit (20. Jh., Einstellung des Betriebs der Stannum 1991, Bergbau auf Wolfram und Zinn).
