Das Na­tur­wis­sen­schaftliche Mu­se­um Schön­born­er Hof Aschaf­fen­burgIm alten Bau des Schönborner Hofes befindet sich das Naturwissenschaftliche Museum der Stadt Aschaffenburg. Das bereits 1970 eingerichtete Museum zeigt neben einer rund 300 Exemplaren umfassenden ornithologischen Sammlung auch eine sehr sehenswerte und umfangreiche entomologische Sammlung (Insektensammlung). Die im Museum gezeigte Wanzensammlung gilt als eine der größten in Europa. Daneben befindet sich im Museum eine Mineraliensammlung, die einen Eindruck in den früheren Kupferabbau im Spessart gibt.

Ojuela MineEntdeckt wurde die Lagerstätte durch die Spanier bereits 1598. Bekanntheit in der Fachwelt erlangte sie allerdings erst 1927, nachdem der amerikanische Mineraloge W.F. Foshags die Mine besuchte und darüber schrieb. Einige Spuren weisen aber darauf hin, dass bereits vor der Eroberung durch die Spanier Bergbau von einheimischen Völkern betrieben wurde.

Die Arbeitsbedingungen in den Gruben waren unter spanischer Führung hart, sodass der Bergbau erheblich zur Entvölkerung der eingeborenen Völker beigetragen hatte. Bergleute mussten Lasten von bis zu 200 Pfund in Lederbeuteln entlang der Schluchtwände transportieren. Noch heute sieht man die eigens dazu in den Fels gehauenen Trittmulden. Eine Zahnradbahn, die später diese Aufgabe übernahm, musste einen Steigung von 14 % überwinden.

In the Republic South Africa the trip led to the copper mining region of Okiep as well as the lead zinc mines of Aggeneys and, finally, to the Kalahari manganese ore districts of Postmasburg and Kuruman.

Peter Seroka has addressed the issue in several years of work and has written an up-to-date geological summary. He dedicated his work to the 15 th anniversary of Mineralienatlas. The work gives detailed information regarding the origin of deposits, the different types of deposits and their classification. Examples of economically important deposits complete the chapters. In­clu­sionsInclusions are inside the crystal enclosed foreign materials like liquids, gases, hydrocarbons (oil, asphalt), sediment, NaCl, as well as other minerals or crystals. Inclusions can be a sort of fingerprint of the place of dicovery. Thus inclusions show us under which geologic conditions minerals had formed. This allows conclusions on the place of discovery.

The article deals with the different kinds of inclusions, her conditions of build, which minerals do often have inclusions and how they appear.
