I need you to know more details about this blue quartz from oberpfalz.Do you know the exactly deposit of this piece.It's quartz on calcedony.

wenn das Stück sicher aus der Oberpfalz kommt würde ich vermuten: Steinbruch "Dürrer Schlag" bei Thumsenreuth/Erbendorf. Dort gab es solche/ähnliche Chalcedon-Quarz-Kombinationen. Matrix-Foto und Größenangabe wären hilfreich.

the size ot this piece is 13x9x7 cm.The matrix is calcite.It's an old piece found 70's

Hi,
because of the Calcite matrix i would say, its location could be the Dechantsees quarry between Marktredwitz and Kemnath at the eastern side of the Fichtelgebirge. In this marble quarry was found Calcite in rhomboedres of 10 cm, sometimes with Chalcedon and Quartz. If this specimen really was found in the Oberpfalz, this quarry is the location!

Die Vorderseite sieht links allerdings basaltisch aus und nicht wie Marmor.Und im Basalt gibts solchen Calcit auch.

nein, das schaut mir nach Phyllit aus, den es in Dechantsees auch gibt! Basalt ist das, denke ich, nicht!

Wolfi is right ! The specimen could very well come from "Kalkhaeusl Quarry" close to Dechantsees.
